Retro

This picture again was; an accident, if a slightly calculated one. The spot which we had picked in the restaurant originally, offered nothing in terms of light conditions conducive to photography. Shortly, to make room for a family that had just come, we were asked if we could move to a different table. We obliged. Our new table was close to a French window overlooking a busy street. Sid sat opposite me, on a couch propped against the bright red wall. The light coming from an electric signboard outside, communed with the ambient light inside the restaurant, to create just the sort of conditions that summon the camera out. I gave this picture a “retro” feel (C-41 film processed in E-6 chemicals. I’ll confess that I have taken up photography at a time when one doesn't have to mess with these chemicals) in Photoshop later.
