If you enter the Lal Bagh botanical gardens from the “main” gate, upon walking some 20 yards, you’ll encounter a giant clock installed horizontally on a patch of fenced ground. The clock usually works and keeps the correct time. Around this giant clock you’ll find randomly placed statues of the seven dwarfs from Walt Disney’s Snowwhite and the Seven Dwarfs. If you look closely, you’ll also spot Bambi amidst the dwarfs! On this particular sunny day he looked terribly upset over the plastic bottle that was thrown into his enclosure by an impudent visitor.

Post-processing notes: soil in Karnataka is never the color you see in this picture. Its color is almost always a shade between rust and maroon. Bambi however, is depicted in its correct colors. I changed the hue of the soil a little to give the picture an overall “monochromatic” feel. I also selected Bambi out and applied a small Gaussian blur to the soil to make it less distracting.
